NESTING TABLES INSIDE EACH OTHER

A very useful design function is nesting one table inside another table.It's especially useful when you come to planning your navigation around the website.

You can nest a table within another table cell by clicking into the 'host' cell and selecting Insert > Table. This is a time when you might use a percentage measure instead of pixel sizing.

The illustration below is a navigation bar where a red cell has a white table with four columns nested inside at at 98% so there’s a red border around the table.
