Company Y, a City of London institution heavily involved in the training of stock brokers and dealers buys a lot of print - and facing a growing and excessive print bill. Like many corporates and institutions, the print buyers are not expert in print buying - so the bills are getting out of hand.

We look at how much can be worked inhouse, how it can be professionally presented to printers; how competitively print is being bought, how to be more cost effective.

The project offered a range of solutions from basic training for print buyers to the setting up of a profitable business relationship with a design studio/printer ... to having a heart to heart with your current printer!

We believe the last option worked ... the print bill was cut by almost 50%.

It all started on the golf course

The boss of this City of London organisation was playing golf - heading towards the 19th hole - with one of my clients who suggested he should call me in to help.

He had a regular printer who was taking him to the cleaners (as is so often the case when a printer has a City of London client) ... so our report was the ammunition he needed.
