Youth Examine Globalisation Challenges

Other activities included drama and a sketch dealing with the problems faced by Commonwealth member countries in the face of globalisation.

Addressing the youth present, the chairman of the event, Mr. Tanda, Director of Commonwealth at the Ministry of External Relations (pictured below), exhorted them to take their studies as seriously as they do, their social life.

Referring to the fears expressed by young people about getting lost in a "a global village," Mr. Tanda said education is the surest way to get them on the 'gravy' train.

On his part, CSYDEVO President Agbor Victor traced the painful birth of his organisation, saying the difficulties were linked to opposing views about Cameroon`s admission into the 'gentlemen`s club'. Agbor concluded by appealing for support to enable them to create a headquarter for their organisation, a newsletter, and a resource centre.
