Hannah McLaughlin - oboe

Hannah graduated with Distinction from the Postgraduate performance Course at the Royal Academy of Music in 2001. Whilst at the RAM, Hannah was a finalist in the Croft Early Music Prize and the Hilda Anderson Deane Recital Prize as well as being the recipient of the Friends of the RAM Development Award, which enabled her to set up a small reed-making business.

Since leaving the RAM, she has performed with a wide variety of ensembles and orchestras. As a member of the European Union Baroque Orchestra in 2000 and 2001, Hannah has travelled extensively, performing in countries not often visited by European period-instrument orchestras, including Bosnia, Croatia and China. In the UK, Hannah performs regularly with orchestras such as the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, The King's Consort, Gabrieli Consort, The Hanover Band and Florilegium, as well as orchestras based in Ireland, Germany and Austria.
